How to study/make sense of public 1L
Grab an old public outline or two here. See if what they did makes sense to you. Look at past exams here, and figure out what you don't know how to address. Generally though, focus on the rule / test(s). Figure out all the steps and how the court applied them. Figure out when you're supposed to apply each test and why. All you should care about is how to spot the issues on the exam and how you should address them. Hope that helps. -

Not sure what you mean. Davies doesn't have a billable target so I understand their associates don't even bother working.- 1

Your comment adds no value to this thread. It's already been mentioned that the extra hours worked may have a material difference to one's life –– and that ultimately comes down to whether one sees it as a worthwhile sacrifice for the added benefits. As for what's in it for me to contribute to this thread –– what's in it for anyone to contribute to any thread here? It's an online forum for discussion. If you disagree with my points then go ahead, but there's no need to get personal or be a dick about it.- 1

Osgoode OCIs (ITCs, PFOs etc)
Osler sent ITCs yesterday and today as well. They seem to have some kind of rolling process -

I've heard someone got an ITC. However, the firms still have to OCI Queens, U of T, and Ottawa U (ending Oct 15th), so many of us are probably in a "maybe" pile, and we will hear after that. It ain't over till it's over. -

No - in-firms are over two weeks away. Some firms emailed me immediately, and some firms waited to send an email with full details (roughly a week or so from in-firms). -

Still have not received a confirmation email from two firms in Vancouver for in-firms. They did call on call day and scheduled me and said they’d email but haven’t— should I be worried? -

Would appreciate what you think my odds are of getting in. Decent softs, but I’m worried about my LSAT (if I do need to take it again it would be for the following cycle) -
