I work for the government (federal) and I am out of touch with what the firms and major employers (banks, insurance, etc.) are doing right now.

If you had to say, are most firms/employers downtown in legal/financial services asking people to come in person to the office.

Please note I am asking what is required, not what you do personally. If the vibe is very different than the minimum, happy to hear about it in the comments.

2 days in person for juniors, 1 day for seniors and partners.

I'm in-house at a financial institution. 3 days in office is the policy across the organization, but the legal team pretty much does what it wants. I'm in 3 days per week, my colleagues are in usually 1-2 days per week.

The last couple of firms I worked at both had 3 day policies.

We're two days. Ours is set by the business unit, not the organization, so others are more. They don't enforce it very much in legal. Every now and then we get a reminder we're supposed to be there 2 days a week and all of a sudden you see faces you haven't seen in months.

No set days for me, but I am there 5 days a week to support the partners (3) with whatever they need, and take client calls.

Having a top-of-the-line gaming rig at home with 300+ unplayed games + a super cuddly cat also doesn't help 😞
