Does anyone know what the GPA cut-off for the Dean's Honors List is in 1L at Queen's? Specifically, is a 1L CGPA of 3.72 going to make the cut, or not?

I am definitely, absolutely, unequivocally "asking for a friend".

The threshold varies each year but, per career services, is generally in the 3.5 to 3.7 range. So your friend has a very good chance! Congratulations (to them)

Where do you see this? I feel like the top 10% of the grade would all have like 3.9 GPAs cause that would only be like 20 people

3.58 - 3.61 is the cutoff for Dean's List (Queen's Law releases this in an email)

A 3.72 is Dean's List.

A 3.9 is most likely medal territory.

From speaking with some of my classmates, it seems like the number of people with 3.9 or higher in 1L at Queen's would be about mid single digits, so yeah, getting to medal territory. Admin enforces a very strict B curve in 1L, I think the median 1L GPA is about 3.2.

This would be closer to a B+ than the strict B curve enforced in 1L. A few friends and I roughly figured the median 1L GPA is a 3.1. But, they don't release the median GPA so it's merely speculation,

It turns out that when I checked today, a Queens 1L CGPA of 3.72 was good enough for Dean's Honors List. Not sure what the cut off is, but it wasn't higher than 3.72.
