Had this confirmed by an articling student there. Are other firms also upping their pay to match? Feeling hella broke rn. 🤣 And a little broken by the insane amount of work we're doing for less than they are at LL.

[Mod edit: This thread was originally about Lawson Lundell in Vancouver but expanded to other firms]

Vancouver. And they just upped pay again to $1,540 a week. Can't keep up.

Ohhh. Fingers crossed the national firms will match. Between that and Calgary raising to 80k hopefully that'll push a bit on the current 65k.

Is Lawson Lundell a really good firm? Why is it so much higher than the other firms?

It's a top Western Canadian regional firm.

Has there been any movement in other bigger Vancouver firms? I have heard of some small and mid sized firms in Vancouver raising their salaries by $5-10K compared to previous years. From my understanding, the increases are not just isolated to Lawson Lundell. Kind of surprised (not really) that most of the bigger Vancouver firms are silent.

Stikeman also increased student salary to $80,000.

I would imagine all national firms in Van will match very soon.

Farris and BLG have confirmed the same. Seems like all the big firms will follow?

anyone hear anything about the regional firms? Lawson Lundell/ AHBL/ Clark Wilson/ Harper Grey?

Lawson Lundell increased to $80,000 a long time ago.

AHBL just announced an increase to $80,000 effective November.
