Hey did you get a portal update or an email? When/what time did you get the news?

Not an email update. They have not created a formal waitlist group yet. I have got to know from them that I do have a shot if there are withdrawals by admitted students.

So just to confirm, you're not actually on a waitlist yet?

Yeah… what does your post even mean? Are you claiming you contacted the admissions team and they told you that you’re on an internal waitlist?

Received my official wait-list status via email roughly an hour ago! 3.4 L2 GPA and a 165 LSAT.

Keep in mind just about anyone can claim anything on here. I too am a little skeptical to say the least lol.

Interesting... that message has now been removed from my portal, but I haven't received any emails or anything. Wondering what that might mean. Guess I'll wait!

With U of A, it typically means your file has been actioned but the decision hasn’t been released. I’m hopeful for us both but given the WL being released, it’s very likely R’s at this point 😞

There seems to be over 40 students who have been waitlisted. I wonder how much the waitlist moves historically. Based solely from this forum, it doesn't seem to be much, but let's hope for the best.

Wondering the same thing.

From CanLawForum it seem that a fair amount get in, especially those on the cusp of competitive stats, but very few waitlists are even posted here; in past years there's usually only around 10 WLs recorded.  Way more are posted to r/lawschooladmissionsca, and yeah, definitely looks like quite a few got a WL.  Obviously it depends on the currently admitted people, but I'd also be curious to know how much movement there is in general.

Just wondering where the 40 students came from, as I may not be looking at all the relevant websites.  There were quite a few posts on Reddit and some here, although many of the posts here were discussions or questions and not actual posts of people on the WL.  I would imagine some are also duplicates of what were posted on Reddit.  I find it hard to come up with a good estimate.

If you guys have not seen, two people were accepted off the waitlist.

(From CanLawForum): "Accepted June 2nd off the waitlist. L2 3.67, LSAT 154 (Nov), 161 (Jan). Strong ECs. Super excited as this was my first choice."

(From Reddit): "Waitlisted May 26th, got A today. 173 LSAT, 3.2 GPA (now 3.4) stem."

(When asked about L2 year/L60 Credits GPA): "About 3.6, my old last 20 courses was about the same as my cgpa so 3.2-3.3, cgpa with a little bit of rounding up to 3.4. I was a little above 3.2 (rounding down to 3.2) heading into the year and my final year gpa was 4.0. I should say that I haven't submitted my final transcript to u of a yet so the decision was made on my 3.2"

There is an Alberta Index Score calculator on here that is said to be outdated. Still, if anyone cares, their index scores are 243.6 and 245. The alternate method puts them at 241.7 and 243.4.

In my opinion, which is backed only by intuition, I think we will see 7-9 people get off the waitlist. Not so sure if I expect more than 10, but I wish everyone luck and hope everyone can get in where they want.
