Waitlisted 2025

Hi all,

Just wanted to start a thread for those also waitlisted for September 2025. 

I found out I was waitlisted on June 5 (interview was May 15). I am absolutely devasted. Rejected last year. I'm trying my best to remain hopeful but I'm scared shitless. I'm in my mid-thirties and I feel like I'm in a race against time. Waiting another year (without any assurance of an acceptance in 2026) makes me want to hurl. My interview was great! My application was incredible and an improvement from last year (LSAT being my main downfall). I'm very confused and numb. I feel like the school needs someone like me as much as I need it.

Hopefully we can share some stories/perspectives and root for one another along the way. 🙂

Thanks for making this. I had my interview on April 22nd and was likewise waitlisted on June 5th.

 

I am also a mature applicant and agree with you that the wait is borderline nauseating! 😬 Here's hoping we all receive the world/resident waitlist rankings soon. I'm assuming they come out around the end of June? 

 

Anyways, thanks again. I have my fingers crossed for everyone!

Yeah, I think it said rankings would be sent by the end of June.. so most likely Monday, June 30. Best of luck!

got off a waitinglist and no interview was waitlisted for a week or so GPA3.8 LSAT 153

Just heard. #20 on the resident waitlist. Going to remain positive. I heard from Tris in the Admissions office that some years they go through most, if not all of the WL and other years it barely get's touched... let's hope for our sake it's the former! Best of luck to you! 

For stats, I'm a mature student (34 in August), 151 LSAT and 3.6 GPA (3.8 in the last two years of uni). Graduated from SMU in 2021.

Second year applying and I had an interview in mid-May (went really well.. or so I thought!).. they don't give feedback. A current 3rd yr student that I know offered to vouch for me and sent a letter in and I also sent in a LOCI on Monday of this week. Not sure if they even saw it.

Remaining hopeful this thing moves quick!

Congrats! May I ask if you were on the resident or the world's waitlist?

No waitlist movement after the first week. I'm assuming this is normal? Hoping for some movement end of this week 🤞
