Hello everyone I have received my June lsat score back and received a 165. I have an OLSAS GPA of 3.93 with L2/B2 of 3.93. I was thinking about applying to schools like uvic, ubc, uAlberta, ucalgary, osgoode, tru, queens and western. I’m kinda new to this whole application thing so I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into my chances at these schools and whether they are worth applying to. Thank you so much in advance and happy Canada Day!

What's your GPA converted to % for UBC?

To me, in everywhere (though not sure about osgoode & calgary bc they are more holistic), but it looks good to me! You could even consider applying UofT

It’s 87.1 which I believe is above their mean

Your score is decent but keep in mind that admissions into good law schools such as Osgoode, Western, UofT, UBC etc. are getting hyper-comptetitive nowadays. If you can jack up your score to 170+ you would have a much stronger chance at gaining admission in good law schools. Best of luck to you.

It’s sort of trite to say that getting a 170+ paired with a 3.93 OLSAS cGPA will yield a “stronger chance.”

I think a strong personal statement would put the OP into admit territory for Osgoode and UBC as is. If they have the time to sit the LSAT again, then I suppose a 170+ would be a good goal.

If you think you can get a higher score on a retake, go for it, but doesn't hurt to apply imo
