Accepted this morning directly from queue through email! 3.39 cgpa, 3.85 l2, 165 lsat (october), lots of ECs (filled up whole abs) including making elimination rounds at world championships for debating. filled out part (b? c? the access one) for disability related stuff (mostly adhd) with attached documentation. I think my softs held a lot of weight in my admission.

Went into queue dec 1. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

So excited to say that I also got accepted yesterday! Stats are as follows:

  • LSAT 156 (only write)
  • GPA 3.9
  • Master's degree with a human rights law MRP
  • Mature student with 10+ years of work experience including management (wrote the corresponding optional essays)
  • Lots of ECs (boards etc.) and what I'd say are strong references

I'm so shocked, but elated! I've got a tough decision to make over the next 24 hours.
Good luck to everyone that's still waiting.

No problem! I had several internships and post-graduate jobs in the health care field which I tied into my personal statement (I tailored it towards a specific interest in health and law).

Received my acceptance via email on March 29, and firmly accepted.

159 November LSAT, deferred twice before, only take.

3.2 CGPA, with an A- L2 (but still a few dips, also took time off in my degree, even dropped to part time a few times)

What set me aside was likely my history of grassroots community organizing and volunteer work. Nothing too wild - mutual aid work, tutoring, stuff like that. Strong references. Queer visible minority.

I worked to make my personal statement show how my values and talents are demonstrated in both my pitfalls and accomplishments. Did careful research on the school's faculty and assets, and matched it with my story.

It seems that Osgoode's admissions process is truly holistic. I'm surprised too, but this all goes to show that the narrative you craft (and the integrity you can prove you truly have!) matters.

On Tuesday my dreams came true!

3.2 CGPA/161

Part time course load due to medical condition (so no L2), SO many ECs/volunteer experiences/work experiences. I'm extremely passionate about equity, communal care and access - I imagine that was valued.

I always knew that I was smart enough to go to law school but I thought my health and GPA would hold me back. Will be firmly accepting!!! LET'S GOOOOOOO!

Hello and congrats! Were you on the wait list first or straight to accepted?
Also, how are your ECs?

I have the same cgpa and 167 lsat but haven’t heard anything yet.

Thank you! I was not on waitlist. I did not have many ECs but a few I engaged in for prolonged periods of time. I have work experience and my PS parts tied into one story. Good luck!

What does part B include?

Part B is special considerations. Something along the line to explain extra details. Osgoode had 4 categories special experience, work, grade explanation and diversity. You could write about any combination of the 4.
