Deloitte has recently ventured into the legal market, introducing Deloitte Legal. As one of the largest and most well-respected consulting firms in the world, I’m interested in knowing whether it would stack up to some of the large corporate firms, such as Blakes or Osler. Does their law firm reflect the type of work that would be found on Bay st or is it more similar to working in-house?

I see a lot of foreign trained lawyers and new calls on LinkedIn with the job title - Legal Consultant at Deloitte. So, I am unimpressed. It seems like document review work. Their tax division seems good though.

The legal group in Canada is probably mid tier for tax and employment at best—and that’s it. 

I know several consultants. They do not have good things to say about Deloitte. McKinsey and BCG — those are the most respected and it is not even close.
