Thoughts on JD/MIR and/or JD/MPA?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either the JD/MIR or JD/MPA at Queen's, and whether they think it's worth pursuing the master's degrees along with their JD. I have a minor in employment relations but 'm not sure what area of law I want to pursue yet so I do want to keep my options open, which makes me feel like an MIR might not be worth it for my purposes. I've also been in Kingston for the last four years doing my undergrad and I have a JD offer at Osgoode, so I don't know whether a specialized program like this would be worth my staying at Queen's for another 3 years. Would it be worth the extra costs and work, or would pursuing just a JD be more worth my time?

Thanks!

If you want to be a lawyer those two degrees won't add much to your resume. The JD/MIR seems pointless. The JD/MPA I think people have had success with in the past, provided they are going into policy rather than law.
