Potential implications of exchange/study abroad in 3L?

I'm seriously considering a study abroad term at a school whose semester will run from late February to late June (spanning  second semester of of 3L). I've secured a summer position through OCIs, but if I were to not return and article, would I be disadvantaged by essentially graduating later? I.e., when does recruitment for articling take place? Also, how would this impact my taking the bar exam? Would I miss it or be at any other sort of disadvantage that I haven't thought of?

Any input at all is appreciated.

You're midway through 2L; it's time to start taking some responsibility over your career. That means, at a minimum, doing some simple google searches before you start asking others for help (particularly where the help you are asking for is, in essence, them doing the google searches).

You're an Osgoode student, so I will assume you intend to be licensed in Ontario. The timelines for the formal articling recruit are readily available on the LSO's website, as are the 2022-23 licensing examination dates (from which you can extrapolate approximately when the 2023-24 licensing exams will be held).

Once you've reviewed that information, consider whether or not you think going is still a good idea and if you are unsure, then ask others for their opinions. But don't ask others to do all your thinking for you.

I don't know what the options are at the school, but I did an exchange where the semester technically ran from Sept - February which would have cut into second term at my home university. But the school offered some international students shortened courses so we could finish in December time like normal. I would double check to see if the school has this option for you.
