I am a bit confused by the big difference between some posters' cGPAs and B3s. If you did a 4-year degree and the best 3 years' average was a 3.85, the worst year's GPA must have been a 2.85 in order for the cumulative GPA to be a 3.6. How can it be that so many people perform so poorly one year and so well the other three years?

Got the call around 12-1 PM. Missed it but voicemail told me to expect an email about a "matter" later this evening, didn't explicitly say I was in. Though it also said have a great day, so... Assuming the best here.

Good luck to all those still waiting, and congrats to those who've received good news!!

cGPA: 3.94

B3: 3.94

LSAT: 175

Probably below average to average ECs

I wrote the optional essay

I did 5 years. Fucked up year 1 and 3 for various reasons. And did exceptionally well in the other years.

Youd be surpised at how badly certain situations in life can negatively affect someones grades

For a lot of people (including myself), I think it comes down to our first years of university. Not only are you adjusting to how university is graded (in my case, much harder than high school), you may not be sure what you want to pursue. If you only determine you want to go to law school halfway through your undergraduate degree, earlier years might not reflect the academic hustle needed to get into law school.

I think it makes a lot of sense for UofT to do B3. It certainly worked in my favour.
