accepting offer?

does accepting my offer at unb affect applications elsewhere? i applied to a couple other schools but i need to accept my unb offer by early march. however, if i get accepted elsewhere i will probably go there. does accepting my unb offer just to hold it alert other schools and affect my application there if i have not yet been accepted by then?

To my understanding, accepting an offer doesn't notify or in any way affect offers from other schools (unless you firmly accept an offer from an Ontario school). You could accept UNB and pay the $300, and then later renege on the acceptance and go to another school, although you won't get your downpayment back.
