I'd say stat wise you're both fine. But ucalgary is holistic. Do you have any work experience? Clubs? Volunteer experience?

Those I think would play more now that you both have competitive stats.

Agree with @qsizzle – both competitive stats. I'd bet you are both in if the rest of your applications are also competitive.

Thanks for your insight!! I have decent EC’s + work experience. Do you think I’ll probably hear back near the end of the cycle. Just worried since people with similar stats were waitlisted last year

If I told you when you'd hear back I'd be lying as I have no idea.

But I can say last year was more competitive than this year due to LSAT inflation and a record number of applications. This year, people that got denied last year are getting in with the same stats as their previous year. Looking at last year's rejections isn't a good metric for acceptance this year.. stay positive 😄

Definitely true, thanks! Trying to stay hopeful, UofC is my first choice

I don't know if this helps or not, but I have similar stats. 3.85 and 162 (wrote in November), my application went complete December 6th and i'm still waiting. Biased, but I think I have very strong EC's and work experience and a good personal statement.

Yeah... same lol. It doesn't seem to matter though, because people are getting in with these stats and writing in January. It feels like my application got lost but i'm sure that's not possible lol. At this point, I feel like you will hear before me. It's been a very long three months.

You are going to get in for sure ! your phenomenal with your gpa/lsat and your ECs hope we both make it 🥰

Nice to know others are feeling the same way. I'm similar stat wise (3.9low/161 (August)) and I have been waiting on pins and needles, fingers crossed for all of us.
