rejected today GPA 3.25 LSAT 161

I know I don't have the highest stats as compared to many, but this definitely stung. I thought I might have had a chance and Western was a top pick. Rejected by Rye and waitlisted at Windsor so far. 😞

Probably slightly higher, around 3.25 if I remember from when I did the calculations

Rejected recently: CGPA: 2.xhigh L2: 3.44 LSAT: 161

Applied access with many holistic considerations.

Thankfully, I have an acceptance elsewhere so it stings less now.

Did you get in anywhere else? With such a stellar LSAT score, you should have gotten somewhere else at least.

No acceptances anywhere else yet, though I made the mistake of only applying to mainly harder schools. Currently waitlisted at UNB and Northwestern

No lol. By LSAT school I mean they prefer higher lsat and won’t accept you with a low 150. Western prefers people with 160+ And even 165 and over. Same goes for queens and uoft.

I got accepted into Windsor law last year with a 152 same for lakehead and this year Ottawa, so I have a low LSAT but they accepted me because they are holistic and not just focused on the LSAT like western and queens

I don't want to (further) derail this forum from being strictly stat-posts, but just so future applicants viewing this thread know, Western doesn't have some particular emphasis on the LSAT. More likely, the fact that you were accepted to Lakehead and Windsor is because they are less competitive to get into in general (i.e. successful applicants have lower overall statistics, on average), and uOttawa is because they place greater emphasis on GPA. Not getting accepted into a school with a high GPA and low LSAT doesn't mean a school isn't holistic, just means your application as a whole was seen as less competitive, relative to the other applicants that cycle. Having a low GPA but high LSAT (the inverse of your situation) will similarly create a hurdle to admission.
