I just got my ranking on the waitlist - 25th. Just wondering if I should be retaking the LSAT given how competitive the admissions cycle has been this year. What are my chances of actually getting in?

My stats are 162 and 83ish average

Just got ranked 9th on the waitlist. Does anyone know what my chances of being admitted are? Stats are 171 LSAT and 3.27 GPA (77.80 UBC confirmed)

Anyone know when they stop giving out waitlisted applicants offers?

14th on the waiting list here. Is anyone on the waiting list without any offer and considering reapplying next cycle?

Someone in the top 5 said they'd be declining, so you just gotta hope that either 7 spots open up or a few people from the waitlist bail. Both are entirely possible.

So you could pull a Tonya Harding on them and bump yourself to the front of the line?

Email from Madeline :

At this time in the cycle, it is difficult to determine when we will be pulling from waitlists. Some years we do not end up pulling names, and some years we make many offers from our waitlist. It is still early in the waitlist cycle to determine whether or not we will be pulling from it, as it is based on the decision of already-accepted offers who will either decline or withdraw their offer.

Club 33 here. Weighing whether I should sign a lease in my current city or wait out the waitlist. Hopefully we get more people contributing here so that we have an idea of how quickly or slowly it moves/

#12. Happy it is close to the top, but also disappointed that realistically it is probably too low to get an offer this year. 🙃

LSAT: 166

GPA: Not entirely sure for UVic, UBC calculated it at 84.2

I have no offer yet (waitlisted at ubc, calgary, and uvic) so I will be reapplying next year - and much, much earlier than I did this year (i applied right before the deadlines and am regretting that big time 😣

What makes you think you're not high enough on the waitlist?

Just given how competitive this year has been, other schools like ubc have said they expect minimal movement on their waitlist. I assumed UVic was in a similar position but I don't know for sure. 11 people ahead also seems like a lot when they only have 95 seats for their regular category. I think my only shot of admission is if a couple spots end up opening up and multiple people ahead of me decline the offer. I guess this could be a possibility later in the summer when logistically it gets hard to get up and move to Victoria.

Same here! I also applied to all of the three schools I applied to right before the deadline and didn't get into any of them. I hope you get into UVic off the waitlist, though! I'm right behind you at #14 lol.

Thanks for the update! I guess that means I'm officially reapplying in September!

😮 These numbers would have made a strong candidate for UBC in previous cycles. This year's race seems really tight.

@elle.woodsdid you ever move on your position? Does anyone know how many people made it off the waitlist?
