Where to live?

Hello everyone, 

I will be starting my law school journey at TRU come September. Do any of you have any recommendations/advice on finding housing near campus? Which neighbourhoods should I priorotize? Which neighbourhood's should I avoid? Any and all advice is appreciated!

McGill Ridge and Landmark are popular locations. Stay away from McGill Tower, that’s the student residence and not quiet. 
 

Summit Village is also popular but a bit further away. Once you get admitted to the Facebook group you’ll also be able to find some housing options there.

Seconding what first post says, McGill Ridge and Landmark, as well as Rockcliffe are really popular options right next to Campus. If you have a vehicle Peterson Landing is a great building around a 5 minute drive away. The Station building on north shore is around a 10 minute drive from campus, and has great amenities but is cheaper due to being on the Northshore. There were law students in each of these buildings over the last few years

Aberdeen and Sahali are nice neighbourhoods that are close to TRU with lots of rental condos.  Some parts of these neighbourhoods are further away from the school though and you might want a car.

If you can afford Peterson Landing it's a beautiful and quiet, secure building on Summit. Right on bus line for about 8 min bus ride or easily walkable.
