Hi!

Congrats to everyone who's starting at UO in the fall!

On the timetables, I noticed that there's an asterisk beside the tutorials which says they're optional. Are there any current UO students who can speak to what the tutorials entail and if we should definitely make sure to go to them?

TYIA!

I went to tutorials regularly for only two classes because the professor was abysmal and didn’t teach anything in the one, and for the other I felt the tutorial leader did a good providing practical application opportunities. I didn’t attend regularly for any other and did pretty well.

Closer to exam time they’re more useful because they’ll likely go over practice questions (you’ll want to do these).

I would recommend attending at first and judging for yourself if you think you’ll get value out of them.
