Haven't seen a thread for this topic yet, so I'd thought I create one.

Legal software that I've heard/used:

-PCLaw

-LEAP

-Clio

-Cosmolex

-Primafact

-MyCase

-Practice Panther

I'd invite comments on any other software that's out there, whether any of those are not "Canadian" compatible, cost, functionality, pros/cons etc.

Cosmolex is top tier for cloud accounting/practice management software in my opinion. It's especially useful for small firms/solo practitioners.

PCLaw is old and awful. I’m sure it “works” but it’s just such a steaming pile of bad software design (by modern standards) that I’d avoid it at any cost. Unfortunately, it’s the only thing many (legacy) firms use, so not much chance of dealing with something else these days.

We switched from PC Law to CosmoLex and it has been great. There was definitely a steep learning curve and some glitches to work out, but it's been a significant improvement. Happy to provide more info/insight if it helps.
