Thoughts on the Canadian-American Dual JD Program?

Eventually finding employment in the US is part of my plan within a few years of graduating law school, if I am capable of doing so. With that being the case, is getting an extra year tacked on to the program to earn both JD degrees worth it?

Any thoughts on this program from current students, or general Ottawa students?

Not worth it if the focus is working in the US. You should just go to the best school that you can get into instead of doing the dual. Dual US/Canada law degrees have value, but not if the goal is primarily to work in the US, at least not with the US schools that our law schools have partnered with (none of them are very good). There used to be an Osgoode/NYU dual degree that would have been very useful for getting employment in the US, but that seems to be gone.
