How does McGill Law School Calculate GPA?

Hello everyone, I have two questions about how McGill law school calculates GPA;

firstly, McGill says that the Overall average (CGPA) is 85%/ 3.8 on 4.0 scale (I got this from here). I am confused since wouldn't a 85% be a 3.9 ? What is McGill's gpa scale?. I assume the OLSAS scale in Ontario does not apply to McGill.

Secondly, does McGill calculate GPA only from the fall-winter terms of each year, or do they include summers. I know some unis only use fall-winter for law school admissions.

Thank you!

While I can confidently say that they use summer, since they include literally any mark you've ever received in anything, I'm also totally in the dark as to how they calculate percentages. 94% is a 4.0 (or 4.3?), 85-87% seems to be roughly a 3.8, and 75% is a 3.0. I was an English major so I won't pretend to know how those numbers could be arranged to form a grading scale, but if someone has the math skills it would be well appreciated!

Unless something has changed:

I believe it's your CGPA, and therefore any grade you've received; and

I believe they follow the OLSAS scale. So a 4.0 is a 90+, 3.9 is 85+, 3.7 is 80+, etc.
