Hey everyone 🙂 I am kinda feeling gutted that I didn't get an offer in the first round, and I know I still have a chance, but I am wondering how the rounds of admissions work ? Is it going through the most competitive applicants first and then those whose numbers may be a little lower? Do we know in terms of numbers how many get admitted each round? Thanks in advance for helping me ease some of my anxietyyyy because wow my heart!!

1. Nobody knows what kind of numbers are accepted except for UofT.

2. I imagine that they want to put forth offers to the most competitive applicants first to ensure a firm commitment going forward. Then they would look at other applicants that maybe don’t meet/exceed the median stats.

Remember, most people are not accepted in the first round or before the new year. Being accepted after the 1st round doesn’t make you any less deserving.

there are currently 119 people in the fb group and apparently they send about 300 offers. Does that mean almost half the offers were sent round 1?

2nd round is a big round too, late January-ish, 3rd round is smaller I think and depends on the yield rate from the first two rounds.
