Narcissistic principal

Anyone dealt with a narcissistic principal during articles?
 

By narcissist, I do not mean the overly competitive run-of-the-mill lawyer, who is is proud of their successful career. I am talking about the arrogant, micromanager, who constantly provides unfair criticism (while finding any opportunity to shine a light on their own accomplishments), undermines the confidence of direct reports in front of others, gaslights with unclear instructions, overreacts with anger and has a larger than life ego - with little to no empathy nor interest in getting to actually learn from others.

I have been told there are plenty of bad principals out there, but also some rare gems who are on the opposite spectrum.
