I only have one acceptance right now although I am still waiting for a few schools that are close to home. Can they take away my acceptance if I provisionally accept? I don't want to lose the only one I have, but I would like to see if I can stay closer to home.

They will not take away your offer if you provisionally accept; that's why that option is given. You show them that you're interested in attending but would like to consider your other options.

Keep in mind though that a provisional acceptance will turn to firm acceptance July 1st. Also, some schools require deposits to maintain your provisional acceptance (example Ottawa requires $500 by June 1st to keep your offer).

Thank you so much!
