Any Lawyers who Specialize in Defending Youth?

Anyone here specialize in defending youth in court? Specifically criminal charges. 

What's your experience?

Are there even lawyers who specifically defend youth in court? or does it just get passed down to whomever is available through legal aid?

Interested in this field after law school. Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Look into Justice for Children and Youth.

Your question is unclear. Most criminal lawyers probably represent youth in court, but they are also not making a living doing just this alone. If you only want to work with young people, then legal clinics and non-profits like Justice for Children and Youth and Peacebuilders are your best bet. However, these positions are difficult to land without articling with these organizations or in the public sector, or applying with years of work experience. 

Your best bet is to land a public sector job in criminal/youth justice and go from there.

It takes time but yes, you can build a youth criminal practice. It won't be an exclusive practice area but I have met some counsel whose practice had a sizeable youth component.
