Hey folks, need some advise on what to focus on for Civ Pro in the barristers. Going through the LSO competencies but I’m burning out, what the frick is vitally important and what can I just chance it for the index on exam day? Need some of your sage advice please! It’s so much information I get a bit lost. Felt the same when we took it in law school.

Thank you!

Hi Blahblah... I would highly recommend familiarising yourself with the U of T Bar Prep materials, specifically the Charts and Indices. They will assist you in finding what you are looking for when writing the exam, instead of trying to remember where everything is and trying to memorise it all. I would still recommend trying to understand broad concepts, but for Civ Lit there are so many timelines and procedures to remember that I think the Charts and Indices are very helpful.

Edit: sentence structure.

Thank you! Appreciate it very much. I remember tabbing my textbook left and right and didn’t focus on the broader concepts back in law school, so this helps very much as I likely would have done better.
