Interested to hear other's experiences writing the Bar with extra time (whether 25%/50%/etc.). Was it difficult to get with the LSO's requirements? Would 25% be worth going through the hassle?

Thanks.

The accommodation forms are public so you can check them out, difficulty is another matter. Trying to discern how the LSO weighs your doctor's opinion is a bit beyond me. But from the nature of the paperwork I'd say they aren't too liberal with it.

When I wrote the bar in 2022, a good friend tried to get accommodations from the LSO and had an absolutely terrible time of it. Their accommodation wasn’t extra time, just the ability to pause time when away from the test.

Start the accommodation process early, it takes time.

I applied for accommodations and was given random approvals. For example, I was denied reading accessibility technology, but approval for an independent exam room even though the disability underlying the need for that accommodation is the *same one*. I was told I did not provide sufficient documentation LOL I did not have the energy to argue it, so I just accepted that I got 50% of what I needed which is better than nothing, but I haven't done an exam without reading tech in like 5+ years lol I am still debating pushing the exam if I don't feel like I can pass and then will push for full accommodations in the November exam.
