ON Bar exams while articling

Can anyone speak to their experience studying/writing the bar while articling? I'm scheduled to write in June, but had a very difficult 3L year for personal reasons and I don't think I have it in me to focus long enough to be prepared in time. Obviously this isn't an ideal situation and I would prefer to get the exams out of the way so as not to jeopardize my articling term, but I'm trying to be realistic and consider my options. Any insight based on personal experience would be appreciated

Articling is hard enough. Don’t add to the stress.

See: LSO Exam study policy.  You will basically blow through all your vacation time if you write both while articling.  Firms generally prefer that you have them written before you commence articling, I think it is fair to say.

I think that it might be possible to study for the exams before you article, then hopefully remember a lot of what you studied when you write in September.

That being said, I'm not sure if there is a big downside to at least trying the June sitting and write again in September if you fail (I know you are only allowed so many attempts, and I know it costs money to write the exam, but still). I assume you are already out of pocket for the exam fees since the date to pay for the June sitting has passed - not sure if you have to pay again if you defer??

Or how about splitting it up? Write the solicitors in June and the barrister's in September?
