Any tips for Pro Bono Ontario shifts?

So, I started volunteering again and have signed up for Pro Bono Ontario's legal advice hotline. I have an upcoming shift next week and read through the training documents and guidelines.

As someone who's been away from this profession for almost two years, and an even longer time since I did A2J work (the last time was clinics/practicums in law school), I will need to prepare so things go smoothly. I would appreciate any practical advice on how to conduct things effectively, and any additional refresher training I can take, including on common areas of law, questions, and issues.

Update: First shift went well, learned a lot. Like all volunteering experiences, its especially more rewarding if you view it from the dual perspective of contributing positively even if miniscule, and internally from the perspective of personal growth and character and leadership development, especially if one has not done client engagement or community legal work.

I recommend volunteering for the experience.
