Does anyone know if Queens is going to work on repairing the castle? I am an incoming 1L, and I would be interested in participating in the law program there in my second year, should it still be available.

As a current student who just finished 1L we did get emails about the castle being closed for safety reasons. No updates have been provided regarding the repair or reopening process but I believe the castle will remain closed for the 2024-2025 academic year as well. The current international program has changed, students this summer started in Kingston for 3 weeks from early to late May and now they are in Berlin for the remainder of the course. I would recommend reaching out by email to the University to confirm whether this set up will stay for next year. Enjoy your summer, law school has been a great experience at Queen's but it definitely gets stressful at times. See you around campus in the fall.
