Not happy  to be starting this thread but it is what it is…. Got the decision letter in the portal, dated for today. Discretionary applicant. 78% overall average, another year left of my undergrad, and a 154 lsat.
Lifelong Sask resident, strong ec’s, lots of work experience.

So sorry! Did you get an email about it or did they only update the portal?

Good to know! Did you apply to other schools? If you don’t have any luck this year, I cross my fingers you get accepted next year!

I applied at UofA and was waitlisted. Hoping for movement, I live in Edmonton already.

I’m in Edmonton as well! I received a rejection from the UofA late last month.

Wait how? People have been accepted for a lot less, especially being discretionary?

I honestly think I shot myself in the foot by listing myself as discretionary. I think uofs probably filled their discretionary spots with more deserving candidates than me 🙂 I will never know for certain, but I had a decent sask connection, two references from lawyers that I work with at my province's Law Society, and lots of volunteer work at the courthouse. Oh well.

If I apply again next year, I will probably apply in the regular applicant stream as my grades aren't terrible for uofs.

I’m so sorry to hear. If you don’t mind answering, how strong is your Sask connection and around what time did you find out?

No SASK connection, and I found out a few days ago from an email.

Shocked to be rejected as well. 158-162 LSAT range, B2/L2 3.8ish. Weak sask connection

Got accepted and paid my deposit to U of M in February, not upset at all as that's my home school anyway. Just found this rejection odd
