Vancouver Articling Recruit Megathread - 2024 (ITCs, PFOs, Interviews, Offers etc)

Following in last years tradition, I thought I'd set up a thread for the 2025/2026 Vancouver Articling recruit. 

As per the VBA guidelines ITC emails will be sent between Wednesday, July 10 at 8AM PT to Thursday, July 11, at 8PM PT.

Just received an ITC from Watson Goepel. The other firms I applied to are much smaller so I don't know if they typically send ITCs 🤷🏻‍♀️

Competition for these spots is insane given how limited the number of firms is that are hiring. Got an email from Lindsay Kenney saying they received over 300 applications and I believe they are only hiring one, maybe two articling students.

Does anyone have any idea how the whole scheduling thing goes for articling? Is it the same as OCIs — 8:30, 10:00, 11:30, etc... suggesting Tuesday is equal to telling a firm to go fuck themselves?

Not sure, I kind of just went with what the firms suggested over the phone since I figured that the date and times they suggested was likewise indicative of where I stood.

@Constantine It’s 8:30 and I still haven’t heard from two places that ITC’d… I guess I know where I stand! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Patient0L I think trying to book your interview as early as possible is the best move to show your keenness. I have heard some firms can make their mind up even after the first day of interviews, so you don't want to leave it too late. Did you end up getting calls yet?

I wouldn’t read into it too much. Plenty of reasons why they didn’t call you until 8:30 or later.

Yes finally got the calls. I know firms read into the day, but on one I opted for an earlier tues than end of the day on Monday appointment (they gave me two choices). I just know that I don’t function well at late afternoon appts. Last year everything after around 3 was a bust. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Firms vary in terms of how many people they have making phone calls so some take longer than others. If you got an ITC, expect a call some time today. Best of luck!
