Gifting after summer program? Ideas

So, I'm about to conclude my summer program at a Bay Street law firm and was thinking of getting some thank-you gifts for some people - my absolutely incredible partner and associate mentors, some other really nice lawyers, and some very helpful assistants. I was wondering what gifts are typically acceptable in this instance.

FYI, I'm an ITL and have no idea what kind of gifts would be considered "too much", "too extra", or "too little". I have ideas of what to get, so I'm really just searching for context.

Thanks!

I would stick to just a thank you card with a heartfelt hand-written message inside.

There's a significant financial disparity between law students and Big Law associates/partners, so I wouldn't want a summer student spending their money on me. If you realllllly want to get them something, I wouldn't spend more than $5-$10. Think giftcard to their favourite coffee shop.

Assuming you’re articling at the same firm, I’d wait until the end of your articling term to give any gifts.
