Should I do a clinic instead of a course with the recruit coming up?

I have the option of taking a full-year clinic instead of a course this year, but also have the recruit on my mind this year. Is it better to just stick with courses instead / is there a good chance I get overloaded with casework at that point?

It really depends on the clinic. I was involved in one that barely required my attention and another that took up tons of time.

At the end of the day, you submit your applications in the summer and then have one intense day of OCIs and an intense few days of in-firms. It's really not so bad that it should significantly affect your ability to participate in the clinic.
