Panicked and barely wrote an argument….I know I can rewrite but since law schools will see the three most recent attempts I was wondering if I was still screwed.

Three most recent attempts, as in, you've bombed the LSAT writing two previous times?

It's really tough to say. If your poor argument, or lack thereof, is combined with a low LSAT score and a low cGPA, then yes, you'll find it difficult to get into law school this cycle. With that being said, the LSAT writing has always been supplementary to LSAT score and cGPA, so if you're an otherwise strong candidate, your profile is salvageable. It won't look good though.

This second point isn't meant to denigrate you, but there is a critical issue underlying your problem. Before rewriting, I really think you should re-evaluate your test-taking strategies. From what I remember, the LSAT writing was very chill, and required an open-ended written response to one prompt. It should concern you that what amounts to an hour or two of open-ended writing trips you up.

No sorry.. I meant that I wrote it for the first time but if I were to rewrite it, they would still see the first attempt.

Also I haven’t written the LSAT yet. My cGPA is a 3.82 and I have a lot of ECs.

This is a very confusing thread, but I think OP is trying to say that this was their first attempt at the LSAT and that they panicked and barely wrote the writing section of the test.

If that's the case, then don't worry about it. My writing sample was barely coherent and I got in to every law school I applied to.

I meant that I have completed the written sample but not the multiple choice portion of the LSAT. I will be doing the multiple choice soon.

They're written at different times now? Huh.
