Hey guys,

I took my diagnostic in May, got a 128, and studied a few hours daily to score 145s on my practice tests. I am planning on taking my official exam in November. What courses, programs, or strategies can I use to get to the 160s or higher?

If you’re in the 145 range, I think you should do 7Sage or (re)visit a PowerScore book. A sub-150 score indicates a foundational misunderstanding of the test. You’d be better served re-learning some of the elements of the test and the basic logic it requires to succeed.

Don’t rush yourself, and take your time studying for the test. Everyone goes at their own pace.

Personally I have only used 7Sage and Powerscore. I find the powerscore LR bible more comprehensive. Based on your current score I suggest hammering out the basics of LR first, there are a couple mental habits that needs to be formed, when they become instinctual drilling repeatedly with mass practice tests. For RC I find no method books helps that much, just do the practice tests, do all of them... You still have plenty of time, so don't pressure yourself. Take some week-long breaks when needed, it usually improve your score.
