Hi friends. Got a portal update today.

Perhaps unique softs?

@WSTempest21 I am operating on the understanding that entrance awards/scholarships for UCalgary do not get dispersed until sometime in the spring and are not sent out with offers but I am curious - did you receive any sort of funding offer with your offer? Congrats again!

No scholarship info. I have not received an email accompanying my acceptance yet though so they may clarify there in the near term. I'll let you know if they do.

Are people getting emails saying the portal was updated, or just checking and saw the update.

I am happy to be #3 here! I have been accepted.

My profile:

166 LSAT
3.95 on 4.0 GPA, 3.65 CPGA
Masters degree
I won a Canadian Institutes of Health Research graduate scholarship in grad school, and several other scholarships throughout
Was a university athlete in undergrad

Just over a decade experience in health care, which included leadership roles.
Mature student (I'm in my 30s)

I'm likely going to attend UCalgary, I am going to wait to see about one other school (UVic).

#4 reporting in. Happy to have accepted this morning. Also a mature student (early 30s)

165 LSAT

3.97 L2, 3.93 CGPA

Voluntarily withdrew from a 2-year Masters program about 8 years ago, had an F on an intro course that I took in winter 2020/2021. Otherwise, medium-good softs. Many years grinding away in a ski resort town while advocating for tenants and workers, now work in a public library doing fairly unique harm reduction and legal programming.

U of C is my first choice as it keeps me close to my existing social support network and my partner's family. Looking forward to meeting people in September!

Very excited to have received my first A of the cycle yesterday!

3.35 CGPA, 3.22 L2, and 166 LSAT

Applied general

(GPA calculation may be off as home university reports on percentage basis)

Quite surprised to be receiving an offer so early on. Very strong softs and personal statement imo.

Will be waiting to see what other offers I receive before deciding - deadline to accept is March 31

Hey everyone, as more acceptances role in I wanted to let you all know I'm starting a WhatsApp group for the incoming Sept 2025 class so we can start to chat. One of the current UCalgary 1Ls has also graciously offered to join that messaging group and answer questions or help in any way they can.

If you've accepted and paid your deposit and would like to be added, send me a private message and I'll get that sorted for you. I think this would be a great way to share information, resources, and build up some connection before we start this journey together.

Just found this forum, happy to see a community built already!

Recently admitted.

GPA (if I calculated correctly)… 3.9/4. LSAT: 160. Masters degree. I’d say mediocre - strong softs.

Accepted yesterday! OLSAS cGPA 3.5, LSAT 165. Would say mediocre softs, non-law related but interesting work for 2 years.

Will be waiting to hear back from other schools but am quite happy as Calgary is near the top of my list!

@Jazz4cat Thank you so much! Couple of changes on the portal - To Do list has been updated with a request for official academic transcripts, an acceptance letter has been uploaded, etc.

Accepted today! (Checked the portal, no email update yet). Leaning towards accepting the offer. 169 LSAT, 3.9/4.3 CGPA. Work experience before and during university, though not law related. Do we happen to have a group chat for admitted students?

Accepted today and I couldn't be happier.

4.0 L2 GPA, 3.91 cGPA, 167 LSAT

Current student, good but not great softs. Part-time work at a law firm, long history of light volunteering, very little full-time work experience. Applied general.

UofC is my first choice so I've accepted. See you folks next year.
