OLSAS GPA disappointmet

I am so angry, I just saw my OLSAS CGPA after months of waiting. I had a single course where I opted for an S grade during Covid in 2022 and OLSAS counted it as a ZERO on a 4 point scale.

I was dreaming of going to U of T but now I'm in tears. My CGPA is a 3.79, far below the 3.9 median.

I desperately attempted to calculate my B3 (2021, 2023, 2024). I m not sure if I did it right but only using those years I got a 3.90. Will that make a difference for me???

Here is the overview:

2021: 3.97

2022: 3.12 😞

2023: 3.88

2024: 3.87

I'd strongly advise you to take a look at UofT's website.

Pass/fail courses should not be counted in your GPA calculation. Reach out to OLSAS, this sounds like an error.

I suspect what they mean is that, per the UofT JD admissions page, your B3 is the GPA that the school uses for admissions. The website also notes that they will consider your entire academic performance. Even so, if as you say your B3 is a 3.9, you should be in good shape, GPA-wise.

That being said, @scooter is right. A pass/fail grade shouldn’t be calculated by OLSAS. Definitely get in touch with them regardless.
