Calgary 1L Recruit

I've been accepted to the University of Calgary and understand that the 1L recruitment process is larger than the 2L recruitment in comparison to Ontario and BC.

I’m wondering where I can find information on the number of students actually hired during the 1L recruitment. Additionally, with limited law school performance data available at this stage, how do employers differentiate between candidates? Is it primarily based on undergraduate grades or midterm marks?

I’m considering the University of Calgary because I prefer the city to Toronto and have consulting experience focused on oil and gas (O&G). I will also have worked in the province for an O&G company for a year. How much will this background benefit me in the 1L recruitment process?
