Being 0.01 bellow the median GPA? but LSAT is at the median

Hello

I would really like to go to U of T for law school.

I understand U of T looks at your best 3 years. In my case my best 3 years are a 3.90 which is below this year's median by 0.01

now my CGPA is actually a 3.91, exactly the median, this is because I can't count one of my good years because it only had fall courses and U of T considers a year to have both fall and winter courses. I am hoping they will at least notice that my CGPA is at the median

anyway, my LSAT is a 167 - also the median, so I am having trouble knowing if I stand a chance of being accepted - it's clear that I am not outstanding - although I made a good effort to write both of the essays and I have lots of experience writing good essays

would anyone be able to evaluate my standing?

This is overthinking at its finest. 0.01 does not matter. In additions to the fact medians change, they are helpful as rough benchmarks.

U of T can be funny admission-wise, but I'd think you have a good chance.

I didn't apply to UofT, and I am not expert in law school admissions, but I think you'll be fine. 0.01 difference in GPA is insignificant. Maybe some at UofT may beg to differ, but reason suggests that this disparity will not drastically impact your likelihood of receiving an acceptance.

I gained second round admission, and both of my stats were below median. I was ~0.06 below on B3 GPA, and 1 LSAT point lower than the median.

If you're slightly below median, really taking your time with the personal statement will help. I'd still say you have excellent chances though.

also wondering

In the U of T website it says that their median lsat is a 167, but it also says in brackets that its the 94th percentile

I just did my jan LSAT and got a 167, however it says on LSAC that my percentile is a 92

I am worried if this will cause issues for me

UofT has stated in years past that it cares more about the percentile rank than it does the raw score, so you are a bit below their medians from recent cycles (94th/95th percentile). What do you mean when you ask whether this "will cause issues" for you? If you're asking whether you're still competitive: yes, you are still competitive with a 92nd percentile score. You don't have to be median to be competitive since half the students are below it by definition.

Are you guaranteed? No. Competitive? Absolutely. Your stats are good enough to get you serious consideration. The rest comes down to your personal statement, experience, etc.
