USask Waitlist 2025

Personally, I am still waiting to hear back. I also know it is likely a bit early for people to be waitlisted based on previous years, but I thought I would still start this thread. I'm hoping things start moving soon!  🙂

Got my waitlist email this morning at 2am. Guess the waiting game continues.

Got the wait list letter today on the portal. No email yet. Hoping to get off as I received rejections from other schools and wait list from Umanitoba (position 150+). Best of luck to everyone here.

I'm confused, so why are people getting waitlist letters at different times? Does anyone know the reason?

I don’t know why personally, maybe just the order they re reviewed borderline applicants? But I doubt it’s any indication of anything, I wouldn’t stress too much about if you were later or earlier on that notification.

I think it's because the USASK portal updates every night around 1-2 am, and the committee works from 8-4 pm Mon-Fri. So suppose a decision was made near the end of their shift on a Thursday, the portal will update at 2 am, and the applicant will get an email the day after saying the portal updated regarding their application. But if you check the portal every Mon-Fri, you can beat the email notification because it is typically 12-24 hours late.

Hey thank you so much! I have decided to give usask till mid July since there is so many things that need to be done for that program. I have already paid my deposit for Windsor but I would prefer to be closer to home! After mid July if I don’t hear anything I will ask to be removed from the waitlist.

Why don’t you ask to be taken off the waitlist so someone who actually wants to go there can get their seat sooner?

I'm curious how fast WLs move, I've been on 4 WLs and haven't got any As from them this cycle (and released 3 of them). Also whether the WL moves or not is not up to me, it's up to people holding onto As. It'll delay someone's acceptance by what, a day max?

By this point yes, everyone (at least should have) got a decision made on their application. Either accepted, waitlisted, or rejected.
