Importance of Extracurriculars?

I'm looking to apply the fall of next year and have been prepping for the LSAT (looking to take it early next year), but I've been always worried about my lack of ECs. So far, I've only volunteered as a mentor for one year and did summer research. I am currently working part-time and I feel as though I don't have much time for ECs given that I am having a rough start school-wise (a bit overwhelmed), and I've been using whatever time is left from school and work/study for LSAT prep. My GPA so far is a 8.6/9 (York's 9-point scale), which translates to 3.92/4 based on lawapplicants.ca.

My question is: Is having weaker ECs fine? I would prefer to apply to schools near/in Toronto, but I'm not sure which schools yet as I plan to decide after receiving an official LSAT score.

Thank you!
