Character Count Question: Personal Statement

Hi everyone,

The character count for Ottawa is 8000. I feel as though I have mentioned all that I needed to in 6000 characters, but I'm worried that I'm too far off from the maximum. Do you think submitting it as is (6000 characters) would reflect poorly on me?

I think being under the character count maximum by 1000 or 2000 characters is going to be a lot better than adding in a bunch of meaningless filler just to try and make it longer.
