Hi everyone,

I just got my invite for the Ryerson video interview and I'm getting really anxious. Is the video interview a critical part of your application? Also, any advice on how to prepare? I have no idea what questions I should be anticipating.

I'd appreciate the help!

I don't know how heavily it is weighed for your application, but I can share everything I've learned about Ryerson's in anticipation for mine this cycle  🙂
it's not a traditional interview, but somewhere around five prerecorded questions. You're given a prompt and a brief amount of time to consider the question and your answer. The recording begins and you have either one or two minutes to answer (I forget the exact amount). A question they gave as an example was "What is your favourite colour? Why?" No idea if that is one they've actually used or will use, but they were likely trying to illustrate it is more personal and response based than testing your knowledge.

hope that helps and best of luck!

Hi StressedLllama, when did you send your application in? How long did it take for them to reach out with the invitation to interview?

Hi Dee. I submitted my application on October 15th (Friday) and got the invite on October 19th (Tuesday).
