I took the October LSAT and my score is slightly below the median levels. If i re-take the LSAT in January, could law schools offer admission based on my October LSAT or would they wait?

If they think you are competitive, they may not wait for your new score.

If they want you they will not wait. What's the point of waiting if they would admit you based on your current scores? They will only wait if you're not competitive or borderline.

So to answer your question, yes you can get offers before you retake the LSAT.

That's what I said. "If they think you are competitive, they may not wait for your new score." I should have added "admit you with current scores" for clarity.
