Do small boutiques do 2-3 infirms?

Is it possible for smaller boutiques (8 lawyer firm) to only conduct one in-firm interview. Or, do they conduct 2-3 interviews like biglaw full-service firms?

It depends. For what it's worth, in my experience firms that only conduct one round of interviews tend to explicitly tell you that.

It really depends on the firm. I had 2 rounds of interview with a boutique. Basically, the managing partner wanted everyone to meet me. For another boutique, I was interviewed by 2 of 4 partners, and they told me that the other two may wish to speak with me.
