Event: I didn't get a summer student position. Now what?

To anyone on here who didn’t get a call tonight:

I know that feeling. It fucking sucks. I struck out at OCIs and I felt my career was over. 

That could not be farther from the truth. I moped about it for a good while, found a great summer and articling position and now I practice at one of these shiny Bay firms. 
 

I hate saying this cliche, but you will be fine. Pour yourself a drink, take some time for yourself and don’t stop fighting. 
 

I’m willing to listen and be a sounding board via PM if any of you need to vent.

I really needed to hear this, thank you! I made it all the way to Day 3 feeling super confident, and I got the dreaded e-mail that they weren't able to offer me a position. I know OCI's aren't the be-all end-all, but it's definitely disappointing.
