Can anyone clarify if applying to the JD/MA program will affect the time of your acceptance? Applied to just JD program and got accepted over a month ago at Western but haven't heard a thing about Queen's and Ottawa (for reference CGPA:4.0 LSAT:163)

A joint program application should not impact the timeline of a JD acceptance, in my experience. Typically there are separate offers from the respective faculties, and the timelines are unrelated.

As an entirely anecdotal aside, Queens and Ottawa were the latest programs to send me an acceptance last semester. It could be that they are simply not as quick as other schools.

If you got accepted to the JD program, you will almost certainly be accepted to the MA program. I personally don’t know anyone who didn’t get into the MBA/MA joint programs if they applied. The school won’t say no to taking more of your money.
