Canadian law schools yield protection?

I'm curious about if LS in Canada have yield protection. Obviously it's a common practice in US but no info wrt Canadian schools can be found. Just anecdotally, someone from my uni got accepted into UoT and Osgoode but was rejected by Ottawa and Queens in 2019. Maybe these two schools just presumed he wouldn't go there?

I don't think this is a widespread practice in Canada. Canada doesn't have a law school ranking system like USNews that cares about yield rates. However (and take this with a huge grain of salt) I remember hearing that Windsor has been known to waitlist candidates with very high stats.
