Hey all,

I applied for the ICLP in Osgoode and received a request for an interview. I am wondering if other people that applied got one too? I am curious if they offer it to all applicants so I don't get my hopes up.

Thanks!

I don't think anyone can answer this question unless they work at Osgoode or know everyone that has interviewed for this program. This is not something that candidates like to go around telling people. I do know two people that interviewed for it. The person that received it was a mature student with children and outstanding loans. If you are single, do not have dependents, and can access a professional student line of credit, then it is unlikely you will be successful in receiving it.

Hey thanks for your response. I wasn't wondering if people received it. I was wondering about interview bids, and the ratio of applicants to interview bids.

But I appreciate your honesty. I'll keep you posted on how I do.

Good luck 🙂

thank you 🙂 you as well! and according to other ICLP guides I've seen, apparently those given an interview are shortlisted from the whole who applied for it

I interviewed for it. I'm sure they do short list people, but I don't know how many. My interview went well, I know there only 7 spots so good luck!

Good luck ICLP peeps. I think they interview about twice as many people as they have spots. Happy to talk with hopefuls any time.

For those interested in the future: I received the ICLP. I am single, have no dependents, but do have outstanding loans and difficulty getting a PSLOC.

So you don't have to have to have dependents or be common law/married to receive the program.

I also received the ICLP, do dependents, I have student loan debt and getting a psloc will be difficult bcz of that debt etc but given the nature of my work, needing to earn more income would mean lowering my safety protocols to get more clients and could put my life at serious risk, so obviously mitigating circumstances.

For future readers, can you please clarify what you mean by 'do dependents'?
